One of the things that has always pulled at my heart is the quiet power of teachers. The brilliant ones. The ones who give their all—not for recognition, but to shape a stronger society. To help build a better future. To raise a generation that can do better than ours.
And here’s the truth I’ve come to see more clearly than ever:
Some of the greatest teachers I’ve met don’t necessarily have a diploma on the wall.
What they do have is experience. Not the kind you list on a CV, but the kind that you carry in your voice, your patience, your values. The kind that shows up in the classroom every single day—through love, sacrifice, and relentless commitment.
But then, reality hits hard.
We live in a world where everyone demands high-quality education…
Yet no one wants to pay the price for it.
A world that constantly downplays the value of teachers, while expecting them to perform miracles. A world where teaching is seen as a “vocation”—a kind of holy calling—and therefore, too often, an excuse to underpay, overlook, and overwork.
In the next two episodes of my podcast, I sit down with people who bring this reality to life.
One is a parent.
The other is Sol Mio, a teacher from Argentina whose story I carry with me.
Sol opens up in the rawest, most authentic way. She tells us what it means to live the teacher’s life—the struggles, the beauty, the burnout, and the rewards. She shares how this profession has transformed her, what she’s poured into it, and what it’s given her in return.
She doesn’t pretend it’s easy.
But she doesn’t regret it either.
Her story isn’t just hers. It’s mine. It might be yours. And it might be what teachers all around the world are quietly going through right now.
So I ask you:
Do you see this where you live?
Is it better, or worse, where you are?
Have you been lucky enough to teach or learn in a space where teachers are truly valued?
I’d love to hear your experience.
Because this community—this global circle of educators—isn’t just here to share knowledge.
We’re here to share truth.
And truth needs all of our voices.
Let’s talk.
Let’s keep this movement going.
Let’s remind the world that teachers don’t just teach—they build it.
